Windows XP won't recognize internal hdd on re-install
It goes through the installation and says "Done" then it says it's ready for install again. I have checked around google and everyone says that it is superseded by other updates but that isn't shown in my WSUS. It says "Superseded by: None" How can I get this update to install? You can decline this update.

New install won't work
That doesn't necessarily mean it cannot be made to work, but it does mean that issues you run into won't be addressed through "official" channels. That said, did you install/configure IIS before installing VS .NET 2003? As 2003 has no built in web server, you're reliant on IIS for web app development.

Office 2K3 SP2 Won't Install
Every time I try to install it tells me a file is missing. (What file is missing?) I followed the Microsoft post for reinstalling tcp/ip by deleting the Winsock and Winsock2 entries in the registry, restarting, then finding nettcpip.inf and install, after re-start still no protocol. iTunes 7.5 won't install on Vista x64
I don't need an IR remote, I simply change channels at the set top and send the signal to the tuner. PLEASE write a fix to bypass the IR remote installation step for those of us who find it unecessary. Media Center expects to be able to control the STB using the IR bug that plugs into the IR remote receiver.

I can't get update KB923097 to install...it is an option to install in shut down but it stalls and when I start the PC again, it is still there and still won't install...right now, I can't power the PC down normally...how do I fix this? KB920685 won't install
I can't get XP to complete install of Epson 870 printer on LPT1. I get to the Finish screen, hit Finish and then files start loading and then it gives an error message at the end that it can't complete the install. 2.
